The 2016-17 season was Tottenham Hotspur's 25th season in the Premier League and 39th successive season in the top division of the English football league system. Along with the Premier League, the club competed in the FA Cup and the EFL Cup, reaching the semi-finals and fourth round respectively. The club competed in the UEFA Champions League for the first time in six seasons after finishing third in the previous season's Premier League. Tottenham finished third in their group, transferring to the Europa League round of 32 as a result. Spurs were eliminated at this stage by Belgian team Gent.

This was Tottenham's final season at White Hart Lane, before its demolition to make way for their new stadium. Appropriately, Spurs went the entire season unbeaten at the stadium in all competitions. Their home form contributed to their highest league finish of 2nd for 54 years.
